We are seeking an exceptionally organised and client-focused individual to join our small but dynamic studio and store team. As a Jewellery Studio & Design Assistant, you will work closely with Rachel, the founder, and our Studio and Production Manager. Your role will span the entire production process, from ready-to-wear designs in silver and gold vermeil to bespoke creations. You will play a pivotal role in meeting with clients and ensuring that their vision is brought to life with precision and care. We are looking for someone who’s values align with the RE brand that deeply cares about craftsmanship, meaningful design and responsible making practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager and Jeweller to maintain high-quality standards for all in-house pieces and repairs.
  • Manage the ordering process for stock designs, castings, materials, and findings, ensuring timely and impeccable production of all jewellery pieces.
  • Organise orders from made-to-order pieces to ready-to-dispatch, overseeing the gathering and dispatching of orders.
  • Create bespoke sketches for clients, ensuring accuracy in technical details according to client briefs.
  • Liaise with workshops and CAD teams to ensure all pieces are crafted according to original designs, maintaining open communication with clients throughout the production process.
  • Ensure excellence at every production stage, from initial sketches to CAD mock-ups, while managing client communications regarding design, budget, and delivery.
  • Source and purchase chains, castings, findings, diamonds, and precious stones as needed.
  • Assist in quality control, project timeline management, and inventory ordering.
  • Facilitate jewellery repairs in collaboration with our jeweller.
  • Engage directly with clients in our Shoreditch store, via email, phone, or Zoom.
  • Conduct trips to Hatton Garden to liaise with workshops and suppliers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the jewellery industry.
  • Proven experience in direct client and customer interactions in the jewellery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of jewellery making processes, including working with precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones.
  • Excellent hand rendering skills in jewellery design.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with workflow or CRM tools.

What We Offer

  • A full-time, permanent position with a 3-month trial period, working 4-5 days per week, including one weekend day.
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • The opportunity to work closely with our founder, Rachel, and a supportive team.
  • Opportunities for professional growth within the company.
  • A significant staff jewellery discount and allowance.
