The Role

We are seeking a Jewellery Polisher to join the Taylor & Hart Production and Workshop Team.

As a Jewellery Polisher, you will be responsible for the final finish on pieces leaving our Holborn workshop. Your responsibilities will bridge polishing, finishing and pre-hallmark preparation on set and unset pieces in platinum and gold, ensuring every ring meets our quality standard before it reaches the customer.

Work Listing

Polishing and finishing engagement rings, wedding bands and jewellery to company standards
Applying different finishes to design, including high polish, brushed, matte etc
Working on stone-set pieces without damage to stones or setting integrity
Refinishing pieces returned through aftercare for repair, resize or cleaning
Maintaining your bench, tools and equipment safely and to standard
Providing flexible support to the wider workshop with ad-hoc tasks as needed

Ideal Candidate

2+ years hand polishing and finishing experience on fine jewellery (candidates who have recently completed an apprenticeship will be considered too)
Confident working in platinum and gold across carats and colours
Confident polishing around set stones, including small pavé
Able to deliver a range of specified finishes consistently
Immaculate attention to detail, with the discipline to check your own work and flag rather than proceed on a piece that is not right
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to deadline
Accurate and disciplined with system updates
Good team player, willing to learn new skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Good time management and prioritising skills
Experience of repair or resize work preferred
