Your New Role

We have an exciting new opportunity available for a Jewellery Designer to join our broader Laings bespoke team, located in our wonderful newly refurbished Southampton Store.

You will be responsible for creating jewellery design for our clients in line with our heritage, craftsmanship and expertise.

Our opportunity will be offered on a continuing full-time basis, assisting 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday (flexible to accommodate client appointments) when required. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Producing high quality scale drawings and paintings, from different perspectives
  • Understand Laings Bespoke style and portray in designs
  • Following Laings Bespoke guidelines of presentation and pricing
  • Provide a luxury seamless journey to our clients throughout the Bespoke journey
  • Advise customers of the offerings of Laings Bespoke
  • Work to customer briefs whilst giving advice on jewellery design ensuring client expectations on timescales and price are met.
  • Build relationships with clients to ensure continuity of service and repeat business
  • Provide support to Sales Consultants and CRM team on introducing the Bespoke department
  • Build good working relationships across the design team

Skills and experience required:

  • Formal qualification and experience within Jewellery Design
  • Excellent working knowledge of jewellery design
  • Passion for different jewellery styles, gemstones, and diamonds
  • Familiar with working with a wide array of gemstones and fine metals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding customer service experience
  • Polite, friendly, and well mannered
  • Adaptable and flexible
