The Eleven is a demi-fine jewellery brand designed for female football fans.

We partner directly with clubs to create licensed collections that weave crests, dates and club symbols into jewellery pieces women actually want to wear. Our first collection has shipped, two licensing partnerships are signed, and we’re growing fast and need help designing the next collection!

This is a full time internship working directly under Guillaume Stapylton-Smith, our Head of Design, across jewellery research, collections and CAD designs.

What you’ll work on

  • Design research for our club collections: crest history, kit archives, club symbols and supporter culture.
  • Moodboards and concept boards for new collections and club partnership pitches.
  • CAD models and technical drawings for pieces going into prototyping with our manufacturing partners.
  • Spec sheets and tech packs (stone callouts, plating, dimensions, tolerances) ready to send to suppliers and manufacturers.

Who you’ll learn from

You’ll work directly under Guillaume Stapylton-Smith, our Head of Design. Guillaume trained at Paris’s Haute École de Joaillerie and is a trained gemmologist. He founded Stapylton-Smith, his own bespoke and antique jewellery studio in London, is a member of the National Association of Jewellers, and was named on Professional Jeweller’s 2025 Power List. From him you’ll learn proper fine-jewellery craft and how to design collections for a licensed brand.

You’ll also work directly with Mimi Samama, our founder and CEO, and pitch your concepts to her yourself. We’re a small team, so you’ll see everything: club partnerships, licensing negotiations, and the commercial decisions behind every collection.

Must have

  • Proficient across the Adobe suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop: boards, technical flats and layouts are the daily work.
  • CAD skills (Rhino, Matrix…)
  • Recent graduate in jewellery design or a closely related discipline, with strong visual research instincts.
  • Self-directed, and comfortable working from home with 1–2 days a week in person at our WeWork in London.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of demi-fine materials and processes: sterling silver, vermeil, plating, stone setting, casting.
  • Rendering (KeyShot or similar) and InDesign for pitch and lookbook layouts.
  • Experience preparing files for 3D printing, or working with a workshop or manufacturer.
  • A genuine interest in football and fan culture. You don’t need to know the offside rule, but you should be curious about why a crest or a date matters to a supporter.

What we look for in a portfolio

  • Show us the research and iteration behind one project in depth rather than ten finished renders.
  • One piece resolved technically. A CAD model or technical drawing a manufacturer could actually work from.
  • Storytelling. A project rooted in a real reference world (a place, a subculture, an archive). That’s exactly how we design for clubs.

How to apply

Send your portfolio, your CV and/or LinkedIn, and a few lines on why The Eleven.
No cover letter needed.
If we shortlist you, we’ll likely ask you to complete a short assignment: designing a piece for one of our clubs.

A paid, full-time internship.

We want it to grow into a permanent junior design role, with equity, as the brand scales.

About Us

About Mimi

Fiorentina was forced on me by the city I was born and raised in, and love. Croatia was forced on me by blood: my mother is Croatian. Neither was a choice, and that's exactly why I love them. It's family. It's heartbreak. It's “Forza Viola”, but it's also “Idemo Vatreni”. You don't pick either one, and then they're yours for life.

Somewhere along the way I became a woman with a job, a wardrobe, a life. And I noticed that the club shop had a men's XL and a plastic keychain. It was as if the love was allowed, but only on match-day, and only if it looked like a man's.

About The Eleven

In 2025, still in the middle of my MBA at INSEAD, I found the courage to pitch the idea in class, in a room full of some of the brightest people you'll ever meet. Then I went looking for proof: surveying classmates, friends, friends of friends. The answer kept coming back the same.

In May 2026 I brought on Guillaume and Alexia. Guillaume is a visionary jeweller who has studied and practised the craft for many years under his own eponymous brand. Alexia is an operations manager who has scaled food, drink and hotel brands in the UK and Uganda. All hands on deck.

With this incredible team, I'm not bringing you a piece of jewellery. I'm bringing you a memory: a Sunday spent cheering with friends, laughing and crying. A talisman for good luck. A beautiful thing you'll never want to take off.

The nine-year-old in the stands would have wanted one. So we made it for her.
