The brand
Frederick Grove is an East London based Jewellery brand. Everything is handmade between our 2 workshops by Frederick or our skilled jewellery team; casing, setting, polishing and engraving.
We specialise in both silver and gold jewellery, both ready to wear and bespoke. We have a great array of stockists and wholesalers, the likes of Dover Street Market & END etc with the plan to take on more global stockists in 2027.
We’re a small (yet mighty) team of around five and are looking for a team player who is ready to grow and flourish with us.
About the job
Frederick Grove is looking for an experienced and passionate jeweller to join our small, close knit team. This is not an entry level role, we're seeking someone with a minimum of 3 - 4 years professional bench experience who takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship and enjoys working directly with customers.
As an independent jewellery company, we value quality, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service. We're looking for someone who is as comfortable at the workbench as they are speaking with clients and supporting the wider team.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of jewellery repairs to a high standard.
- Manufacture and finish jewellery pieces from our collection, this would include pre polishing and finishing, resizing and repairing.
- Confidently set a variety of gemstones (setting experience is essential).
- Assess repair work and provide technical guidance where required.
- Maintain excellent workmanship and attention to detail across all projects.
- Help maintain an organised, safe, and efficient workshop.
- Using a variety of machinery; Laser welder, Laser engraver, Polishing machines and more.
- Adhoc Hatton Garden trips visiting with our suppliers.
- Working closely with Frederick on more intricate pieces when needed.
As a member of our small (but mighty) team, you'll also be expected to:
- Assist customers in-store when needed, supporting the retail team downstairs during busy periods.
- Communicate confidently with clients about repairs,jewellery or stone related questions, and jewellery care.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and customer-focused working environment.
Essential requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years experience working as a professional jeweller.
- Strong bench skills across repairs and jewellery manufacture.
- Proven gemstone setting experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident dealing with customers.
- A team player who is happy to support different areas of the business when required.
Desirable qualifications
- A recognised jewellery qualification or degree (such as from the British Academy of Jewellery, Birmingham School of Jewellery, or an equivalent institution).
- Experience working with gold pieces.
- Knowledge of a broad range of precious metals and gemstones.

You'll be an experienced craftsperson who genuinely enjoys creating and restoring beautiful jewellery. You're personable, reliable, and understand that in a small independent business everyone works together. Whether you're at the bench, discussing a bespoke design with a client, or helping on the shop floor, you'll represent Frederick Grove with professionalism, warmth, and care.
