Picketts and Pursers are looking for an experienced Goldsmith to join their growing team in Petersfield.

You’ll be joining a five- generation family owned business in their extraordinary workshop nestled in the heart of Hampshire. Your standards should be high and we expect you to always strive for the very best.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Goldsmiths in our team play an integral role in our business.

The following duties are not shown in order of priority or frequency and it is not an exhaustive list. We are a small, independent business so you will be required to assist and support the organisation in multiple areas but the primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

Opportunity to create bespoke commissions
Remodelling pre-existing jewellery
Creating stock to sell from the shop floor
Resizing of rings, general repairs and polishing
Re tipping useful but not essential
Laser repair work useful but not essential
Maintaining and cleaning of equipment and workshop tools
Liasing with shop floor staff on tasks and communicating effectively
Brand ambassador for Picketts and Pursers

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 3 years experience
Competent jobbing skills
Exceptional eye for detail
Strong work ethic
Ability to work quickly & efficiently
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on a company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to learn and accept training
