The Role

We are looking for an experienced Bench Worker / Goldsmith to join our Swindon based studio.

You will work to a high standard across all aspects of bespoke and ready to wear collection manufacturing.

Working directly with the founder and supporting the wider team, while meeting quality and production time deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day jewellery production, from order receipt to completion deadline
Bespoke alloying and remodels of customers’ jewellery into new designs
Clean and polish castings to a very high standard
Soldering gold, silver and platinum
Carry out all types of jewellery repairs, including chain repairs, ring sizing, retipping etc.
Time management and production planning with a high standard of quality control with a very keen eye for detail
Support with other aspects of production like liaising with outworkers, ordering materials, trouble shooting production issues and maintaining workshop equipment

Desirable Skills

Stone setting
Engraving
CAD experience
Wax working
Sand casting
Content creation during production process

Requirements

Minimum 3 years bench experience
Strong bench working skills
Excellent polishing and finishing standards
Maintain a clean and orderly workshop
Good communication, punctuality and time management
Friendly and excited to be part of a small but growing business

Job Type

Freelance 2 days a week from our Swindon studio with the possibility of growing the role.

Starting in June.
