About Us
We are an established jewellery workshop based in the heart of Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery quarter. We specialise in creating fine jewellery for private clients, independent designers, and trade partners. Our work covers a wide range of styles, from traditional hand-crafted pieces to contemporary bespoke designs, all finished to the highest standards.
We are now looking for an experienced Stone Setter to join our skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented craftsperson who takes pride in precision, artistry, and quality workmanship.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting a wide variety of gemstones into fine jewellery pieces in gold and platinum. The role involves working closely with our in-house goldsmiths and designers to ensure every piece meets our exacting standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting stones of various sizes, shapes, and cuts
- Working across multiple setting styles: pave, micro pave, claw, bezel, rub-over, channel, fishtail.
- Working from CAD or hand-crafted designs to exact specifications
- Repairing and re-setting stones when necessary
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe bench environment
About You
Essential skills & experience:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ professional experience as a stone setter in fine jewellery
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small workshop team
- Good understanding of the technical aspects of jewellery manufacture
- Commitment to high standards of craftsmanship and finishing
Desirable:
- Trade references or a portfolio of previous work
