Experienced High Calibre Master Goldsmith for Retail Shop

Retail Jewellers in SW London, specialising in hand made fine Bespoke Jewellery in their own on-site workshop visible from the shop are looking to appoint a highly skilled Master Goldsmith.

This is an interesting and challenging role. The successful candidate will be a true craftsman with the ability to interpret client design requirements working in collaboration with our Designers.  They will be confident and take delight and full job satisfaction to bring bespoke design ideas to successful finished goods. The prospective candidate must have the following qualities and skills:

  • minimum proven 5 years bench experience
  • good all round high level of technical skills
  • able to hand make jewellery pieces to high standard
  • able to sketch designs
  • carve precise and accurate master wax patterns
  • work in platinum and gold with hand and machine tools
  • good product knowledge of fine jewellery, diamonds and gemstones
  • use of CAD software and follow through to production advantageous
  • setting skills advantageous but not essential
  • skilled in all repair and restoration work, especially on intricate pieces
  • previous retail experience would be ideal

Flair and creativity with outstanding working standards, excellent attention to detail and follow through are essential requirements. We are looking for an exceptional person who must have these qualities:

  • able to take responsibility and ownership of orders, from conception through to sourcing, quoting and completion of manufacture

  • versatile and adaptable
  • smart appearance with warm, friendly demeanour

We require a very special focused person to join our small enthusiastic Team to help continue and broaden our growth.

This is a great and unusual opportunity for the right Goldsmith who would enjoy occasional direct client interaction at busy times to join a growing business.

Full time - 5 days per week.
