Experienced Goldsmith Required – Join Our Growing Workshop

We are an established and respected jewellers and goldsmith seeking a skilled and experienced Goldsmith to join our professional team. This is a full time position at either our Poynton or Stockton Heath branch.

Working across a diverse range of bespoke and production pieces, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in delivering exceptional quality work.

✨ Key Responsibilities

Bench work in gold and other precious metals
Manufacture and assembly of bespoke and production jewellery
Sizing, repairs, and remodelling
Working to precise design specifications and deadlines

✨ Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a professional goldsmith
Strong bench skills and technical proficiency
Excellent finishing standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, efficient, and quality-driven

✨Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in stone setting

Founded 40 years ago, Christopher Evans Goldsmiths began in Poynton as a small trade workshop, with Chris himself working at the bench. As demand for repairs and remodelling grew, Chris moved into a larger retail space in the heart of Poynton village, complete with a workshop above the shop.

When the opportunity arose to acquire an established jewellers in Stockton Heath, Chris seized it—rebranding both stores, expanding the workshop facilities, and broadening the retail offering. Today, both stores are thriving, yet we’ve never lost sight of our roots as a hands-on, customer-focused independent business.
