About Lanes Jewellery

Lanes Jewellery is a well-established, family-run business based in Holt, Norfolk. We specialise in fine, handcrafted jewellery, created with traditional skill and meticulous attention to detail. Our workshop has a friendly, supportive atmosphere, where traditional goldsmithing is valued and complemented by carefully chosen modern techniques.

We’re now looking for an experienced goldsmith to join our team and play a key role in the next stage of our workshop’s journey.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture of high-end bespoke pieces, repairs, finishing and polishing.
Preparing and assembling multi-part castings.
Occasional stone setting (e.g. claw and bezel).
Laser welding (experience helpful, but not essential — training can be provided).
Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and quality control.
Working closely with our design and sales team.

About You

Substantial bench experience as a goldsmith / jeweller (ideally 5+ years).
Skilled in traditional techniques such as repairs, claw retipping, stone setting, polishing, rhodium plating.
Comfortable using some modern tools (e.g. laser welding), or willing to learn.
Strong attention to detail, good hand skills, and pride in producing excellent work.
A collaborative approach, with clear communication and a positive attitude.
Able to provide examples or photos of previous work.

Salary

Competitive salary - Depending on skills and experience.
We are also open to part-time hours for the right candidate.
