About Ryan Nelson London

Ryan Nelson London is a growing bespoke jewellery studio based in Hatton Garden, specialising in high end, handcrafted pieces - from clean cut solitaire rings to ornate, hand built tiaras. We combine traditional craftsmanship with a modern mindset, and we’re building a team that takes pride in both skill and creativity.

As our workshop expands, we’re looking for a talented Diamond Mounter to join the bench - someone with serious hand skills, strong attention to detail and a love for working on unique, challenging pieces.

The Role

This is a hands on bench role where you’ll be working with a wide variety of jobs - from basic casting cleanups to complex, hand fabricated bespoke commissions.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Designers, Setters, and Production Manager to bring each piece to life, and occasionally speak directly with clients about their pieces.

You’ll be part of a highly skilled team of specialist goldsmiths and setters, where attention to detail, high standards, and a team first mindset are non-negotiable.

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, flexible and comfortable working to tight deadlines without compromising quality. A ‘can do’ attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and share knowledge - especially with our apprentices - are essential.

This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys variety, and thrives in a collaborative, quality focused workshop environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hand making and assembling fine jewellery to an exceptional standard
  • Interpreting and executing bespoke designs in collaboration with the team
  • Inspecting and preparing mounts for stone setting
  • Maintaining tools and contributing to workshop upkeep
  • Taking pride in your craft and helping us raise the bar

Skills & Experience

  • Essential - Ability to prep and assemble castings with precision and attention to finish
  • Proven experience as a Diamond Mounter (minimum 4 years in fine jewellery)
  • Confident with traditional hand fabrication techniques
  • Proficiency in polishing to a high standard
  • Precise, patient, and proud of your finish
  • Good communicator - you’re easy to work with and comfortable collaborating
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a growing team
  • Keen to contribute to a positive, high-performing workshop culture, where everyone takes pride in their work

What We Offer

  • Creative variety
Work on a mix of trade pieces and private commissions that challenge and develop your skills.
  • A real studio vibe
Our space at The Record Hall, Hatton Garden, is clean, bright, and purpose built for fine jewellery work
  • Room to grow
With our team expanding, there’s real potential to step into more responsibility and shape your career with us.
  • Supportive culture
We’re kind, ambitious, and serious about quality - but never at the expense of wellbeing or mutual respect.

How to Apply

Please send your CV, cover letter, and a small portfolio of recent work (all in one PDF) using the application form or by emailing us directly.

If you’re passionate about fine jewellery and looking to be part of something exciting, we’d love to hear from you.
