JewelCast is primarily a casting company specialising in high quality precious metal castings. In addition to this we offer an exciting range of in-house CAD design, 3D printing and mould cutting services.
This year we will be launching ‘JewelCast Bespoke’ where we will be offering a complete bespoke service from CAD design through to the finished jewellery item including stone setting and polishing.
JewelCast is located in a beautifully restored building in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, and the site features modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment in each department.
About the Role
We are rapidly expanding our CAD Design Team and are looking for an administrator with strong communication and organisational skills to join us. You will play a vital role in the day to day running of the department and candidates will need excellent customer service skills, and the ability to process orders quickly and efficiently using our bespoke order processing software. You should have a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills to ensure lead times are met and enquiries are dealt with promptly. A jewellery background would be advantageous but not essential as full training can be given.
Main Responsibilities
- Sending estimates to customers for new CAD design orders and replying to email enquiries.
- Processing new CAD design orders sent in via email and post.
- Communicating with customers via email and phone regarding new enquiries and ongoing orders.
- Creating design order folders to store files and organise email correspondence.
- Photograph and document items received from customers including gemstones and other jewellery items and execute quality control checks on receiving of goods.
- Processing received items on our bespoke order software, and uploading photographs to the customer’s account.
- Liaise with other departments and team members when orders involve multiple processes.
- Assist with tracking from order entry through to completion ensuring lead times are being met.
- Track progress on bespoke orders at each stage as they move through multiple departments.
Requirements
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Computer-literate (training in company processing software to be given)
- Confident and polite manner when speaking with customers via phone and email.
- Proactive, supportive and positive attitude with a willingness to assist where needed.
- Interest or background in jewellery manufacturing and/or retail.
