CAD Designer

We are one of the UK’s premier CAD design boutiques, known for our commitment to excellence in bespoke jewellery design and manufacturing. We’re currently seeking a talented and experienced Jewellery CAD Designer to join our vibrant studio located in The Goldsmiths’ Centre in Farringdon, London on a full time basis.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have a strong background in jewellery CAD, a solid understanding of jewellery making, and an eye for detail. You’ll be confident working with industry standard software and able to contribute to all aspects of the design and production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D flatwork and detailed 3D CAD designs
- Work with software such as Rhino 3D, Matrix / MatrixGold, and ZBrush
- Create technical drawings, high-quality renders and CAD files for manufacturing
- Support the creation of wax prototypes and operate in-house 3D printers, scanners and laser engravers (training provided)
- Liaise with customers, offering design and manufacturing advice
- Liaise with suppliers
- Organise and manage digital files, our online project management system and collections book
- Work closely with mounters and setters to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in jewellery CAD design
- Proficient in Rhino 3D, Matrix/MatrixGold and ZBrush
- Strong knowledge of jewellery production and manufacturing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen sense of design aesthetics
- Ability to communicate confidently and work well in a team environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Please note that this role would not usually involve working from home
