At Manna Jewellers, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, creativity, and the seamless delivery of high-end jewellery. We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile bench jeweller for repairs and bespoke jewellery to join our dynamic team.
This is a hands-on role where you will be a key player in our production cycle from interpreting bespoke briefs and creating original models to the final stone setting and polishing. You will work on a diverse range of products, playing a vital role in expanding our ever-growing bespoke and jewellery repairs service.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairs & Maintenance: Perform complex repairs such as cleaning, plating and polishing, ring sizing, half-shanking rings, soldering/repairing hinges, repairing settings, re-tipping/re-building claws; and re-setting any replacement stones. Replacing, repairing or remaking broken clasps, repairing chains, bracelets, earring brooches and other types of jewellery. Fitting Using Lazer, PUK welder or traditional soldering on all types of precious metals commonly used for jewellery.
- Technical Bench Work: Execute mounting, ring sizing, soldering, and stone setting using hand tools and machinery. Working knowledge of diamonds, gemstone and all common types of metals used within jewellery.
- Quality Control: Inspect items before and after repairs to ensure they meet professional standards.
- Customer Consultation: Advise workshop and showroom staff on repair options, provide guidance on cost estimates, and maintain professional communication regarding work timelines.
- Finishing: Polish, clean, and refine jewellery to restore it to its original condition.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A relevant qualification in jewellery manufacture and design
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of soldering, polishing, and stone-setting.
- Tools & Technology: Proficient with modern jewellery-making equipment such as a Lazer, PUK welder or traditional soldering torch on all types of metals. CAD software experience would be a potential advantage for custom work.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, patience, and excellent time management.
- Experience: At least two to three years working in a busy jewellery workshop.
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- A Passionate Maker: You have a genuine love for the craft and a drive to produce impeccable work
- You have a portfolio of work that evidences your attention to detail when working on high value items like engagement rings
- A Team Player: You possess an outstanding team-working ethos and a positive, enthusiastic approach to challenges.
- Organised: You are responsible, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities without compromising on quality.
