The Society of Jewellery Historians Symposium: BEADS 2025

Saturday 28 June 2025

Society of Antiquaries, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BE

This one day multidisciplinary symposium brings together an international group of scholars who will explore the role and significance of beads in global adornment from antiquity to the present day.

We are delighted that the renowned artist-jeweller, Caroline Broadhead will give the keynote speech. Her talk will consider how she uses beads in her practice, pushing the boundaries of tradition to explore contemporary narratives.
