Selvedge Spring Fair 2017

On Saturday 25 March, Selvedge will take over the Tea Room in Bath’s 18th century Assembly Rooms for its seasonal Spring Fair. Curated by the team behind renowned textile brand Selvedge, the fair will bring together some of the finest UK-based merchants and makers selling their rare fabrics and textile treasures, and will be the perfect place to find that special Mother’s Day gift.

Visitors to the fair will also get the chance to make their own fabric flowers in a series of workshops inspired by Natalie of Alabama Chanin, the US-based ethical textile and slow fashion movement.

This is Selvedge’s fifth fair in Bath, having previously set up shop at the Octagon and The American Museum.  The Assembly Rooms are also home to Bath’s Fashion Museum, which will be showing their Lace in Fashion exhibition.

Selvedge is a springboard for makers and artisans with a strong community of textile-lovers at its heart. As well as an internationally-renowned magazine, Selvedge runs workshops and fairs throughout the year and has its own bricks and mortar and online store.
