From November 3, 2017 to January 7, 2018, the Het Valkhof Museum in Nijmegen shows an overview of Marzee International Graduate Shows of 2016 and 2017.
Gallery Marzee is one of the most important international promoters of the contemporary jewelery . This international graduation exhibition offers a beautiful overview of work by young artists who have just graduated from the jewelery department of art academies and colleges from all parts of the world.
The young artists come from several European countries, Asia, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Generally, they make use of unconventional materials - found materials, plastic, textile and modern techniques. Striking is that the subject of their work is often related to their cultural and
religious background, but especially with their search for identity: many of them study for years abroad where they eventually settle.
