PEACEGOLD is proud to announce the official launch of its Ethical Jewellery House on 31st October 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 53 Fore Bondgate, Bishops Auckland.
The PEACEGOLD Ethical Jewellery House celebrates jewellery that creates change. With a curated selection of ethical jewellers who are dedicated to crafting stunning pieces with integrity and purpose. PEACEGOLD is a community interest company established to benefit artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) in conflict-affected areas. It directly supports these communities, promoting fair practices, economic empowerment and peace building.
The evening will feature a presentation by Greg Valerio MBE, the Founding Director of PEACEGOLD. Greg will share the inspiring story behind PEACEGOLD's mission to empower artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) in conflict-affected regions. His decades-long career includes co-founding the world's first Fairtrade gold initiative and being internationally recognised for his work in ethical jewellery, earning him an MBE for services to Fairtrade gold and artisanal mining communities. Valerio has dedicated his life to advocating for the rights of small- scale miners and promoting sustainability in the jewellery industry.
