K² is a new Academy of Contemporary Jewellery that offers a conceptual, free-thinking approach to jewellery design underpinned by rigorus technical training.
Founded and directed by jewellery artists and tutors Kelvin J Birk and Katrin Spranger.
You will be taught traditional jewellery techniques to a high professional standard while at the same time learning to step outside the boundaries of traditional design and materials and think critically about the creative process.
Based in central London, close to the Hatton Garden jewellery quarter and Goldsmiths’ Assay Office, K2 Academy is located within Cockpit Arts, a thriving community of professional craft businesses, which includes renowned contemporary jewellers and goldsmiths. This unique setting offers K2 students the opportunity to gain valuable insight within a professional jewellery environment. Classes are taught in small groups of no more than 10 students, enabling you to spend quality time with your tutors.
