Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW)

The special edition of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) is returning to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 16 to 19 September with showcase after showcase of exciting product debuts, networking opportunities, and inspiring and educational onsite activities.

The four-day physical event is once again broadening its appeal beyond its core B2B audience by welcoming jewellery lovers clamouring for the show’s “I Love Jewellery” experiences and attractions, said David Bondi, Senior Vice President of Informa Markets in Asia. Attendee registration for trade buyers and jewellery lovers is now open.

“This special-edition fair aims to raise the bar yet again following its highly successful staging last year. In spite of the challenges and serious limitations that we continue to face, we are bringing back some of the energy and creative excitement that is unique to face-to-face product sourcing and networking in Hong Kong,” Bondi said. “There is always something new to discover and learn, and of course, nothing sparks real collaborations more than reconnecting with friends and colleagues – both old and new – in person.”

Riding on the momentum spurred by Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong Special Edition (JGA) in June, JGW is upbeat about pulling off another remarkable sourcing fair next month.

Last year, the September show drew 13,062 unique visitors (22% trade and 78% non-trade) who made 15,495 trips to the exhibition across four days. Out of this number, 2,244 visitors (1,007 trade and 1,237 non-trade) also attended JGA. The fair’s 10 seminars likewise attracted an audience of more than 500 visitors while its exhibitor-sponsored live broadcast in Mandarin had 15,000+ views and 382 comments.

Although the show is expected to draw a more local audience due to Hong Kong’s mandatory hotel quarantine requirement for international arrivals, the special-edition fair is anticipated to help drive demand across the key categories in jewellery, gemstones and other related sectors, said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery.

“This special-edition fair is geared at helping our sector move to recovery while reinvigorating consumers’ excitement for jewellery and gemstone education,” Lau said.

Broad product range

JGW is bringing together close to 300 exhibitors representing virtually all core product categories namely fine jewellery, including antique and vintage collections; diamonds; coloured gemstones; pearls; lab-grown diamonds; silver jewellery; watches; accessories, and tools and packaging. Gemmological laboratories, institutes and trade associations are also participating in the fair. The Premier Pavilion, which hosts suppliers of luxury and design-driven jewellery collections and investment-quality gemstones, and the Fei Cui Gallery, a space dedicated to jadeite collections, are also among JGW’s fine attractions.

From everyday essentials and precious keepsakes to diamonds, gem-quality pearls and coloured gemstones, JGW is giving visitors an all-in-one jewellery and gemstone B2B sourcing and shopping experience.
