Art and Jewellery exhibition
20 - 22 June 2025
Welcome the energy of renewal and growth at a new art and jewellery exhibition, taking place during the first days of summer at St. Anne’s Church in Limehouse, London.
It is a new beginning, full of promise. A slow unearthing.
Life stirs again. And with it, so do we.
Immersive exhibition for the seeds to bloom explores renewal and growth. Set inside the historic walls of St. Anne’s Church in Limehouse, London, considered one of Nicholas Hawksmoor’s most enigmatic and otherworldly 18th-century architectural works, it blends narrative jewellery and visual art pieces exploring the natural cycles of life and the life-giving, grounding energy.
Taking place between June 20 and June 22 during the first days of summer, the event is both a significant showcase of contemporary jewellery and art and a highlight of East London’s cultural calendar in early summer 2025. It spotlights the work of Karolina Brodnicka, Michaela Barochová, and Maria Stella Lydaki, who together form Tower Collective.
This exhibition features a diverse collection of jewellery, sculptures, and objects. The artists employ a careful exploration of techniques, from traditional and experimental silversmithing to electroforming, reinvented pearls, wood turning, and glass blowing. Engaging video installations and performances complement these artworks, through which the artists examine the cyclical nature of life. Their pieces reflect on childhood memories, ancestral longings, and the enduring life-giving energy, ultimately embodying the promise of new life and the vibrancy of summer.

Artist Bios
Karolina Brodnicka is a London-based multidisciplinary artist of Polish origin. She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (London, UK) in 2015, and gained diverse experience in fashion, design, and art before transitioning to jewellery making in 2017. Her practice bridges jewellery and object-making, with a strong emphasis on one-of-a-kind narrative pieces. Her work explores connections between people, places, and personal stories, weaving narratives of healing, resilience, and transformation. She often employs electroforming, technique of depositing metal on objects, to symbolise the preservation of memories and reconciliation with the past. Inspired by history and ancient wisdom, her jewellery bridges past and present, inviting wearers to reflect on their journeys and embrace imperfection as growth.
Michaela Barochová is a London-based multidisciplinary artist of Czech origin. She graduated with a BA in Jewellery Design at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art (Pilsen, Czech Republic) in 2018. In her art she works with metal, textile and wood and combines her printmaking background with her jewellery by employing the photoetching technique to texture her jewellery and use it to create unique prints. This process results in evocative talismans inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test, a psychological tool that explores the human psyche. Based on this concept, she launched her jewellery brand ‘Numinous’ in 2022.
Maria Stella Lydaki is a London-based multidisciplinary artist of Greek origin. She graduated from the Art and Design program at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, in the ‘Jewellery Linking Bodies’ department (2022). Her practice spans sculpture, performance, photography, video installation, and writing. She explores the ancient ritual of lamentation through a contemporary lens—examining language as material, the dialogue between inner and outer worlds, the tension between light and dark, and the politics of gentleness. Her research weaves through cultural and ecological preservation, the anima mundi (world soul), and the symbolic power of fairytales.
Tower Collective is formed by three London-based multidisciplinary artists – Karolina Brodnicka, Michaela Barochová, and Maria Stella Lydaki – working at the intersection of jewellery, art, and performance. Together, they create immersive exhibitions in unique historic spaces, inviting audiences to rediscover these sites through contemporary narrative jewellery and installation that engages in dialogue with the architecture and its layered histories. Inspired by each building’s character, they cultivate reflective, peaceful environments that encourage visitors to pause, connect, and experience a sense of presence – both within the space and themselves.
for the seeds to bloom is the second exhibition organised by the collective, following their inaugural show When the dust had settled held at St. Augustine’s Tower in Hackney, London, in the summer of 2024. A video from the first exhibition can be viewed here: www.youtube.com
St. Anne’s Church, Limehouse, is one of the most enigmatic works by 18th-century architect Nicholas Hawksmoor. His churches are often described as mysterious, monumental, and slightly otherworldly, and St Anne’s is no exception.
Completed in 1730, this Grade I listed building is among the finest examples of English Baroque architecture, known for its imposing tower and symbolic geometry. Located in the historic East End, it has long served as a spiritual and architectural landmark for the Limehouse community. Today, it is cared for and maintained by an independent charitable trust called Care for St Anne’s, and continues to host cultural and community events within its atmospheric walls. https://stanneslimehouse.org
