Classic Antique Fairs celebrates Autumn with their third year at the NEC (Birmingham), located in Hall Eleven, on Friday 28th November until Sunday 30th November. 

(Opening Times 10am – 5pm Friday and Saturday, 10am – 4pm on Sunday. – Hall Eleven is located on Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT.)

Classic Antique Fairs celebrate their third year having saved the prestigious Antique and Arts Fairs that are synonymous with the Midlands and the NEC.  The Fair continues to be supported by collectors and over 50 regular exhibitors, with more currently signing up.  There are a few stands available.

The Centenary of the Art Deco Movement is still with us, many of the dealers exhibiting have some key pieces from the Art Deco period to show collectors.  Pieces include Val St Lambert vases by Charles Graffart and Joseph Simon from Mark West Glass; Art Deco furniture by Betty Joel from the recently rebranded Markies Antiques with Victorian and Edwardian inlaid furniture from Mark Buckley Antiques. Georg Jensen from Dansk Silver, signed estate jewellery from Plaza Jewellery, Markov, Shapiro and Co with Faberge pieces from T Robert. Vases depicting orchids by Emile Galle or Ispahan roses by Marc Lalique from Solo Antiques. David Hickmet Fine Art offers ‘Die Aristokraten’ by Poertzel from 1920.

There is something for everyone, with pieces from the Roman period to Contemporary pieces. A selection of disciplines and dealers include 19 and 20 century art works from Mark Rowles Fine Art; Decorative glass from Glass of Ages and Morgan Strickland Decorative Arts; Clarice Cliff from Andrew Muir Decorative Arts & Design, Ceramics from Scottow Antiques and Dovecote Antiques ; Daum Art Nouveau glass from M & D Moir; Silver from Stephen Kalms; Contemporary Jewellery or commissions to be discussed with Scarab and watches from Les Petits Tresors; 19 and mid 20 century Sculpture from Garret and Hurst, and Design items from Scottish and Scandinavian Design.

Costume Jewellery from Monika Antiques, Decorative Arts from James Strang, Oriental works of art from Donald Allison and Philip Carroll are amongst the other many exhibitors.  New exhibitors include Jill Gosling Ceramics and English Porcelain Online, both deal in 18 and 19 century English porcelain. There really is something for everyone, the ideal Christmas shopping outing, or perhaps something for your own collection!
