Pewterers' Hall, London

17 - 19 May 2022

The 34 Annual Design Competition Pewter Live returns to Pewterers’ Hall this year on 17 – 19 May for three days of workshops, exhibitions and competitions celebrating pewter crafts and design.

Pewter Live 2022 is an influential annual event held in the heart of the City at Pewterers’ Hall, hosted by The Worshipful Company of Pewterers. The event showcases the innovative work of both established and emerging designers in the Open and Student competition, where shortlisted designs will be displayed, and winning creators celebrated on the final day of Pewter Live. The competition brief set by the Pewter Live sub-committee this year is the theme of Freedom, entrants have conceptualized Pewter creations to embody the brief using their own creativity. Visitors are invited to browse the competition entries in the exhibition hall and buy handmade goods from independent pewter smiths and designers. This year Pewter Live will host live workshops and presentations from designers and makers in person for the first time, visitors are encouraged to book their free tickets to take part in these sessions, please find more information on the Pewter Live website.

The Hall will be open to the public from 11am - 5pm including access to browse the exhibition of shortlisted entries for the 2022 Pewter Live Student and Open Competitions. Visitors can also shop and enjoy a range of stalls from independent Pewter designers and makers.

This year we will be running workshops on various topics including crafting skills, making with pewter and the design industry. Presentations will be taking place on this day at 1pm and 4.30pm, lasting approximately 45/50 minutes. Workshops must be booked in advance separately, please refer to the Pewter Live 2022 Eventbrite collection to check back for the ticket release.
