Course Description:
In this 3-day course, the learner will get familiar with the Rhino 3D interface, learn different 2D and 3D commands in Rhino to model 3D jewellery pieces and prepare files for rapid prototype to send to 3D printing companies. This course will provide the learner with the confidence to independently start modelling jewellery in Rhino 3D and develop into a more advanced level. The course will be taught on Rhino for Windows.

Teaching method:
This course will be taught by group and individual demonstrations and practical jewellery exercises undertaken by the learners. As part of the course exercises the learner will model different shape rings, different settings for stones, and pendants. Group discussions and feedback are encouraged.
Learning outcome:
At the end of this course the learner will be able to independently create different jewellery pieces using several 2D and 3D commands in Rhino 3D. The learner will also have an understanding of the 3D printing process and how to prepare files for rapid prototype.
What is required for the course:
Learners will have to bring their laptops with Rhino 3D installed and a mouse. Free Rhino 3D is available to download on the following link: https://www.rhino3d.com/download
Course duration:
3 day3 from 10am – 5pm (with 1h lunch break). Morning and afternoon coffee break.
