Course Description:
In this introductory course, the learner will get familiar with the Rhino 3D interface, learn different Rhino commands to create 3D jewellery pieces and prepare files for rapid prototype to send to 3D printing companies. This course will provide the learner with an overview of the potential of Rhino 3D and the confidence to start modelling jewellery in Rhino 3D and develop into a more advanced level. The course will be taught on Rhino for Windows.

Teaching method:
This course will be taught by group and individual demonstrations and practical jewellery exercises undertaken by the learners. Group discussions and feedback are encouraged.
Learning outcome:
At the end of this course the learner will be able to create different shape rings (round, square, D-Shape, and freeform), a ring with a bezel setting and other 2D and 3D shapes . The learner will also have an understanding of the 3D printing process and how to prepare files for 3D printing.
What is required for the course:
Learners will have to bring their laptops with Rhino 3D installed. Free Rhino 3D is available to download on the following link: https://www.rhino3d.com/download
Course duration:
1 day from 10am – 5pm (with 1h lunch break). Morning and afternoon coffee break.
