Impossible to overlook, difficult to over-do and so easy to wear, it’s no wonder statement earrings are making proclamations everywhere at the moment.
It’s a look whereby anything goes. It works whether your ear furniture co-ordinates, complements or clashes. The variety of materials, styles, colours and textures is endless. A statement earring or two can turn around an otherwise plain outfit, or take an eclectic get-up one step further.
Earrings are in some ways easier to wear than other statement jewellery. There is less chance of them getting caught on a flowing sleeve or clashing with a fussy neckline, and cuffs and clip-ons are making a resurgence if you never took the piercing plunge. Mixing and matching is an easy way of making a statement - try complementary single earrings, a variation on a colour/metal/shape theme or even just a singular showstopper.
