Digital Access Project 2021
Open Call – Proposals for digital events and activity
Our remarkable buildings have been home to many creative residencies and educational projects over the years. This year, we are focusing our efforts on digital, audio-visual and online activities which celebrate the local history, heritage and architecture of our buildings.
HHBT is responsible for the protection and continued use of Hackney’s Oldest Building - St. Augustine’s Tower, and perhaps our most notable building; the Round Chapel which HHBT owns and operates as a community and performance venue.
Opportunity
Round Chapel is the jewel in our crown and we are keen to receive site specific ideas and proposals that would enhance our reach digitally. We aim to make available a range of new audio, video, educational and graphic assets online and welcome applications from artists, musicians, choreographers, lecturers, architectural historians, educators, filmmakers etc. to present works that can be accessed remotely, either live or recorded.
- Successful applicants will be awarded a creative residency where HHBT offers the use of a venue, free of any hire fees for the duration of their project. The residency period ends 31st March 2021.
- In kind services in the form of light marketing and technical support can be made available if required.
- Successful applicants wishing to secure additional funding from external organisations to supplement their project are able to request a reference or letter of recommendation from us, in support of your application.
- We reserve the right to award reasonable expenses, partially remunerate or provide more extensive in-kind services in some cases, at our discretion.
To apply for this opportunity, please complete the short Application Form below together with the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form and return to Irma Adinda, Head of Events & Programmes: hackneyhistoricbuildingstrust@gmail.com by 5pm, Monday 8th February 2021. Further details can be found on the HHBT website here.
