Call for Applications: Lyme Regis Sculpture Trail 2019

Established and emerging local artists are invited to submit their 3D work in any medium that is suitable for outdoor public display.

This is a great opportunity for artists to get paid to exhibit their work in an outdoor context.

The Lyme Regis Sculpture Trail is located across the Langmoor and Lister gardens in the heart of the stunning Jurassic coastal town. Perched above the beach, with far-reaching views to the famous Cobb and coastline beyond, these public gardens provide a perfect outdoor gallery amongst the woodland, lawns and flower boarders.

The sculpture trail receives thousands of visitors throughout the year and is managed by The Arts Development Company with the support of the Lyme Regis Town Council.

Artists will be selected by the team at The Arts Development Company, who are looking to represent a cross-section of the visual arts and to encompass different materials and style.

Artists living and working in South West Dorset

How to apply

Please email cleo@theartsdevelopmentcompany,org.uk with the following information:

• Artist Biography and Statement
• An expression of interest (of no more than 1 page of A4) outlining your influences and how your work relates to the outdoors and exhibiting environment.
• Up to 6 jpeg images of artworks and details including dimensions, materials and any installation requirements.

Fee

Artists will receive £500 per selected artwork

Deadline

30th November 2018 at 9am

Important dates

• Submission Deadline: 9am on 30th November 2018
• Selected artists will be advised by early January 2019
• Artists will be expected to install their work in February 2019

Sales

If an artist sells their work which is exhibited in Langmoor and Lister Gardens, The Arts Development Company will take 25% commission fee, which will be put towards developing the trail.
