Artquest Horniman Museum Residency

The annual research residency from Artquest in partnership with the Horniman Museum and Gardens is now open for applications.

The 2017 residency is focused on the museum’s music collection.

One selected artist will receive:

An award of £3000 to engage with the work and collections of the museum
An additional award of £850 towards a public facing event showcasing the thinking and research undertaken during the residency
Privileged access to museum’s music collection objects and curators

This is an incredible opportunity for a London-based artist, working in any medium, with at least 5 years’ experience working outside of education, to develop their practice responding to the collections and work of the Horniman Museum and Gardens.

Timeline

The residency research period is October – December 2017.
