Call for Applications: Artist in Residence, School of Jewellery

The School of Jewellery Artist in Residence (AiR) mentoring scheme is open for applications for 2018-19.

The AiR mentoring scheme offers space and facilities in exchange for student support one day per week. You will be given access to bench space and the School's outstanding facilities for the duration of the residency, for which there is no charge. It is expected that you are able to commit to at least 2-3 days a week and agree to a common meeting day at least once a month.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop new work and technical skills in a creative environment with the AiR team. You will have the chance to exhibit your work at the Vittoria Street Gallery in the School of Jewellery and engage with the rich and vibrant community at the School.

Please note that overseas applicants are responsible for ensuring they have an independent visa in place at the time of application to cover the academic year. The University cannot enter into any dialogue with UK visas and immigration in respect to visa applications.

To apply please send your CV, including images of your work. Provide a cover letter with a proposal of your aims for your residency and what support, if any, you may be able to offer the student cohort.

To apply, please follow the steps above and contact Bridie Lander, Senior Lecturer and Artist in Residence Coordinator: Bridie.Lander@bcu.ac.uk

Closing date for applications is Friday 1 June 2018.
