£10,000 Commission Opportunity: A New Creative Schools Project, artsdepot

artsdepot is looking for artistic collaborators to work with us to devise, create and deliver an exciting and imaginative workshop programme for five schools in the London Borough of Barnet (two Primary, two Secondary, one SEN). The workshop programme will culminate in a presentation for the public to engage with and enjoy in the Apthorp Gallery at artsdepot in December 2017.

We are interested in hearing from artists and companies from all disciplines and backgrounds, with exciting proposals for a project to inspire our local schools and community. You could be a theatre director, a digital agency, film maker, designer, artist etc. If you have an idea that will spark the imagination of young people we want to hear from you.

This exciting pilot project will launch in Autumn 2017 and is an opportunity for schools to collaborate with an award-winning multi-art form venue and professional artists / innovators on a meaningful project for everyone involved.

What we are looking for

• Artists / companies who are keen to collaborate with artsdepot, schools and young people to shape a project.
• Artists / companies that have experience in making work with young people.
• Ideas that embed digital thinking into their creation and / or delivery.
• Submissions where the artist / company incorporates the young people’s contribution.
• A finished presentation in the Gallery, open to the public. Opening dates: Sun 10 Dec 2017 – Mon 1 Jan 2018. (Installation will take place on Sat 9 Dec only)

Fee

Artists £10,000 commission*

*This fee is inclusive of planning, delivery, travel, materials, installation, evaluation, support workers and meetings. This list is a guide and there may be other costs that you need to consider in your planning.
