The planning applications have now been submitted for a new Creative Enterprise Centre project in Winchester.

The centre proposed, by Winchester City Council, will see the refurbishment of the ‘Goods Shed’ on Barfield Close to house a variety of visual artists and other, office-based creative businesses such as design and architecture practices.

A new, warehouse-style building is also being considered as part of the proposal to accommodate performing arts organisations needing to rehearse, create new work or run workshops.

The ambition is to provide advice and support to those organisations and individuals taking space in the Creative Enterprise Centre to help them flourish and become active contributors to Winchester’s creative economy.
