Ed Hole, Head of CAD and 3D Printing at Weston Beamor, is to run in this year’s London Marathon which takes place in the capital on Sunday 23rd April.

Ed and his fiancée Kerry Jim are running together in support of The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) a charity dedicated to helping change the lives, for the better, of many children and families who are coming to terms with childhood deafness.

Both are keen runners and have completed half marathons in the past but Ed admits to being slightly daunted by the need to cover twice that distance in just a few weeks time.

Ed said, "The thought of running 26.2 miles is quite scary but we have been training hard since Christmas and are slowly increasing the miles. Motivation has been difficult at times, especially in the winter weather, but we are both looking forward to the big day and are hoping the London crowds will carry us across the finish line."

With the support of friends and colleagues the couple are aiming to raise £3,600 for the NDCS.

“This really is a very worthwhile cause so if there is anyone out there in the wider jewellery industry who knows me and would like to contribute a little something to help our charity to continue its great work that would be absolutely fantastic,” he says.
