We love seeing those in our community flourish and share our vision of making jewellery knowlege accessible. Scott McIntyre, master goldsmith and recognised face of Vanilla Ink Studios has recently published a stone setting manual that will educate and inspire generations of jewellers to come.

Scott's passion for creating beautiful jewellery is matched only by his passion for passing on his skills and expertise. Through Vanilla Ink's unique jewellery classes, as well as social media, Scott makes it his mission to inform and entertain the wonderful jewellery community. Now in the permanance of a book, Scott's mastery is enshrined.

The book, Stone Setting, features stunning stacked rings by Katie Lees Jewellery on it's cover, as well as 72 colour photographs of work by Polly Wales, Shimmell and Madden, Marc Lange and others; with illustrations by Jennifer Colquhoun. The content is wonderfully presented in a clear,  minimal format; filled with with practical advice and general wisdom.

 

Notably, the title is published by Crowood Press, who are behind other books by significant jewellery tradespeople, such as Polishing and Finishing for Jewellers and Silversmiths by the wonderful Stephen M Goldsmith.

 

Stone Setting, by Scott McIntyre, is widely avaiable, stocked in household names such as Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith as well as through the Vanilla Ink website. 25% of all sales will be admirably donated to mental health charities.
