Luxury wedding jewellery retailer, Hancocks Jewellers, has been recognised as one of the best businesses in the industry after winning The Local North West Jeweller of the Year at the 2016 English Wedding Awards.

The inaugural Awards ceremony took place on November 14th at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, with more than 100 businesses from across the country in attendance to commemorate the occasion.

After thousands of nominations, the English public voted on their favourites to decide who would be crowned the best of the best.

Those who voted were asked to select nominees who are a true embodiment of quality and excellent customer service.

Split into nine regions across the UK, the first English Wedding Awards is aimed at celebrating local businesses that go above and beyond to make a couple’s special day even more unique.

Hancocks are one of the most prestigious and established wedding jewellers in the country. Based in the north west of England, they are internationally recognised as a leader on precious gemstones, diamonds and fine jewellery.

Amanda Slater, Wedding Ring Buyer at Hancocks Jewellers, commented on their win...

“As a jeweller who specialises in wedding jewellery for both men and women, we were both thrilled and shocked to be recognised at the very first English Wedding Awards. It meant the world to us that we were even nominated.

“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who voted for us; it shows we are a fantastic business that cares about its customers and providing an excellent service. This Award means so much to the whole Hancocks team, and we are proud to be a part of the effort to put Manchester on the map for the wedding industry.”

Irfan Younis, CEO of Creative Oceanic, organisers of the event, said: “We were honoured and delighted to have such great finalists and winners representing the English wedding industry and enhancing the reputation of the awards. As the industry continues to thrive, we hope to encourage more people to get involved and the public to recognise their hard work and efforts.”
