Jewellery & Watch is celebrating the journey of creativity, craftsmanship, care and dedication that takes every piece of jewellery from its creator to recipient, with a bold new campaign for 2017 titled #CreatingLove.

The campaign encourages individuals to share the personal and emotional stories behind their much-loved pieces, with professionals from across the jewellery and watch community helping to shine a light on how each piece is made, bought and sold with love.

The show’s five campaign figureheads – Harriet Kelsall, Fei Liu, Simon Johnson, Alex Monroe and Gary Wroe – kick-started the campaign online to reveal their most treasured designs, the craft and inspiration behind each collection, and what it is they admire most about their job and the wider industry.

When sharing how he creates memorable moments in the jewellery industry,

Simon Johnson of Marmalade Jewellery commented: “Creating beautiful things for happy people is what my team does and we 100% try to exceed our customers’ expectations. Seeing their reaction is always a treat.”

For the show’s keynote speaker, Mulberry founder Roger Saul, presentation is critical when it comes to creating love within a store.

He commented,“As a retailer, you’re trying to romance your customers, to create that magic moment when they come into the shop, so the first step has to be, what is the presentation like? Is it enthralling them? Is it creating magic?”

Roger Saul will divulge more about his love for the British luxury retail industry with visitors to Jewellery & Watch at 3:15pm on Monday 6th February.

Jewellery & Watch invites you to join the conversation on social media by adding #CreatingLove to your pictures, videos and stories showing how you create something meaningful for your customers. The five most shared image posts will have the opportunity to be part of a Jewellery & Watch feature in the March issue of Retail Jeweller.

Jewellery & Watch will take place from 5-9 February 2017 at the NEC Birmingham, co-located with Spring Fair.
