Jewellers Recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

In a tradition which dates back to 1860 when Queen Victoria gave out the first Birthday Honours, a total of 1,057 people have been recognised in this year’s Queen's Birthday Honours list including two well known figures in industry.

The Queen's Birthday honours lists recognise the achievements and service of people across the UK who have undertaken outstanding work in their communities.

​This year members of the jewellery, craft and metalwork industries were recognised with the Order of the British Empire.

Sam Fanaroff, Founder of the Sussex Guild for services to Craftspeople in Sussex.

Stuart Laing, Lately the Chair of Houlden Jewellers, for services to the Jewellery Industry.

Pippa Pearce, Senior Conservator, Conservation of Metal Artefacts at the British Museum, for services to Metal Conservation.

Vanessa Swann, Chief Executive of Cockpit Arts, for services to British Craft in London.

Nicholas Wainwright, Chairman of Boodles for services to UK Jewellery Exports and charitable fundraising.
