H S Walsh have exhibited since the show opened in Birmingham in 1976. A trusted, well established name in the industry, their knowledgeable staff will be on stand to demonstrate a range of cutting edge equipment.

H S Walsh was established in 1947 and have long been the go-to company for tools and equipment for both the jewellery and watch trade. Still very much a family style business, they pride themselves on their customer service and personal connection with their clients. In an increasingly competitive market, they are aware that any technological advantage they can offer the industry is a plus.

Darrel Wilson, Manager of Walsh’s Birmingham branch says:

“One of the key challenges in the jewellery industry right now is ensuring gemstone integrity. With the introduction of more and more laboratory grown stones particularly diamonds, the general public want to know whether they are dealing with “the real thing” or not.

Whilst there is a place for lab grown stones, natural diamonds are a big selling point. One of our big product launches at Jewellery and Watch this year is the GemPen by Swedish company Gemometrics. With it you can test both cut and uncut stones and even those already mounted in settings, in a matter of minutes.  This time saving device, will give our customers a real edge

We are always on the lookout for new products and often chat with customers about their biggest needs. We are also aware that sometimes the benefit of a piece of machinery is only really appreciated when you use it. A large part of our stand will be given over to demonstrating key products such as the Orion Laser Welders, laser engraver and 3D CAD Software and we are always happy to talk a customer through key purchases in either of our branches.”

H S Walsh have 3 sites, their head office and warehouse in Biggin Hill, Kent and branches in Hatton Garden, London and off Warstone Lane, Birmingham, both ideally placed for their respective jewellery and horological trades. They also sell through their website www.hswalsh.com. Their long history means that they have a wealth of industry knowledge at their fingertips and their staff, some of whom have been there 20 years, are always happy to talk through specific problems and recommend both high tech and more simple solutions.

Joint CEO, Patrick Sheehan says

“Both myself and fellow director Mike Eyers came up through the company and received training in the UK and abroad so we have come of age with many of our clients but we make sure that, as a company we stay ahead of the industry advances and keep our customers informed as well. For example, we regularly hold demo days in branch and personally support the installation of our flagship machinery.

We are also keen that this knowledge gets passed on, closely supporting a number of schools and university courses and sponsoring a number of industry awards. After all, they will be our customers of the future!”

H S Walsh & Sons Ltd will be exhibiting products from Orion, Gemometrics, 3Design, GRS, Eitan, Witschi, Bergeon and Horotec. Visit them Jewellery & Watch Show 2020 Hall 1 Stand 1D72-E73 2nd- 6th February Birmingham NEC
