French fashion house LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has unveiled former Tiffany & Co design director Francesca Amfitheatrof as their new artistic director to shape their new high jewellery and watch collections.
Amfitheatrof, 49, who was born in Japan and trained at Chelsea Art School, Central St Martins School of Art and Royal College of Art, left Tiffany & Co last year after overseeing their product lines for four years and has since been instrumental in the launch of new collections for Chanel and Marni.
This week, her appointment as artistic director at Louis Vuitton was confirmed, guaranteeing a prime place under the global spotlight for the luxury brand’s short-term growth.
Bulgari, Chaumet, Fred, Hublot, Tag Heuer and Zenith watches all come within Amfitheatrof remit as well as high jewellery collections

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which owns Bulgari, Chaumet, Fred, Hublot, Tag Heuer and Zenith, reported increases in annual sales of 20% and revenues (9%) in the first quarter of 2018 as the jewellery and watch market across the world remains buoyant.
