A collaborative partnership between three of the UK’s leading ethically sourced gemstone suppliers, Stuart Pool of Nineteen48, Kathy Chappell of Fair Trade Gemstones and Ian Bone of Capricorn Gems- Queensland, Australia has led to an inaugural one-day fair for the UK market. This unique fair will see gemstones available that offer full provenance and ethical sourcing.

"Having worked closely together for some time, this event is a natural extension of our collaboration. For jewellers who have an emphasis on responsible sourcing, we think this is the best opportunity to see and buy a wide range of traceable gemstones from around the world and to quiz us about our supply chain and provenance face-to-face." said Stuart Pool.

Jewellery designers will be able to view and purchase, with the complete assurance of responsible mining and production. Details on the location of each gemstone will be available to every customer.

The gemstones available will include a wide range of sapphire, ruby, opals, diamonds, tanzanite, tourmaline, zircon, aquamarine and chrysoprase. These gems come from traceable sources in Sri Lanka, Australia, Malawi, Tanzania and the USA. Other gems from these locations will also be available to buy.

The fair is being held at the CIWEM Venue in Farringdon, London, on Tuesday 13th March 2018.
