Barrel Polisher

This Magnetic Tumbler Polishing Machine allows you to quickly and effortlessly burnish and clean your jewellery with ease and has been designed to work with smaller items such as ring components.

This polishing machine operates using powerful magnetic discs that run around the motor at high speed, giving a single speed rotation when used with the stainless steel flat ended pins and recommended cleaning solution.

A built in variable 60 minute timer ensures accurate timing whilst the heavy duty, top-loading, clear plastic bowl eliminates leakage and offers a longer life span compared to rubber barrels.

This small unit (90mm diameter) is perfect for those with limited space and will comfortably sit on your workbench.

The contained mechanics are housed within a solid steel structure reducing the wear and tear of the belts and offering a quieter machine. This magnetic barrelling machine is supplied with small stainless steel flat ended pin shot (75g), which delivers a softer more precise finishing process than that of larger steel shot as they are small enough to access those hard to reach areas such as the underside of rings, chain links and even filigree detail.

Quicker than other traditional barrelling machines, this tumbler can:

  • Produce perfect results in 30 minutes
  • Minimise finger print transfer
  • Has a non abrasive process
  • Will not erode metals

Due to its small capacity, it is advised to use a maximum of 8 rings at any one time with 60-70g of pin shot, overloading may effect the quality of your finish.

To ensure the life-span of the container; run at 30 minute cycles and let the machine and container cool before continuing onto the next cycle.

To use, half fill the bowl with water, then add a small amount of solution, your selected cleaning pins and finally your product to be finished. For accurate finishing you must:

  • Always use fresh solution for each cycle
  • Rinse your bowl and shot between each cycle
  • It is advisable to check your piece every 10 minutes

Once the cleaning is completed, remove the bowl and strain the solution, pins and items. Remember to clean the bowl and pins after each cycle to avoid contamination.

To store we would advise to leave a clean mix in the bowl including your pins, however DO NOT leave it on the machine as this may de-magnetise your pins.

Please note

Keep any other items away from the unit that can be affected by a magnetic force: Mobile phones, credit cards and other electricals

It will not leave a polished finish, it will leave a uniform and very clean finish saving time in preparing jewellery Some metals will shine brighter than others, especially if you use the right soap or polishing ingredient; some are abrasive in themselves, so their finish will always be dulled

Before use you must run the pin shot through a cycle (including solution) until the water is clear. This may take 3-4 goes. Ensure the bowl is cleaned between each use.

Supplied with a UK 3 pin plug.
