This year, Origin, the Crafts Council's annual exhibition of contemporary craft, will relocate from Somerset House to the newly refurbished Old Spitalfields Market from Thursday 23 to Wednesday 29 September 2010. The new venue and rescheduled date will bring the fair in line with London Design Festival and will be presented by Tent London. Launched in 2006, to replace Chelsea Crafts Fair as the UK’s principal selling event for individual makers, Origin attracts some 20,000 visitors annually and presents the specially selected work of national and international makers, established names and emerging talent in ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and furniture.
