Florence Trust Residency Call For Applications

The Florence Trust is so much more than an artists' studio. Housed in an inspiring Grade 1 listed Victorian church we provide the opportunity to work for one year with selected contemporary artists who are encouraged to push the boundaries of their work and explore new ideas. We deliver a bespoke program dedicated to the creative and professional development of each individual Florence Trust artist.

The Trust is staffed by a director and studio manager and offers an exceptional experience well beyond the normal provision of studio space with access to arts networks, individual career support and opportunities. We offer up to twelve studio residencies a year, all beginning in August, and ending after the annual Summer Exhibition in July.  For this exhibition we work with an outside writer or curator, and produce an exhibition catalogue.  There is also a yearly Open Studios event. Subsidised studio rent is between £215 and £245 per month depending on size, around 200sqft. Rent is all-inclusive covering insurance, electricity, wireless internet, exhibition costs etc.
