Small Retailers Fund to Secure Premises

Small retailers will be able to apply for funding to help secure their premises and protect them from crime under a scheme announced by the Home Office. As part of the Retail Crime Action Plan (RCAP), a £5 million fund will be available to small firms in 50 priority areas across the UK.

Business owners will be able to apply for up to £3,000 to purchase equipment such as alarms or security grills. The RCAP also includes a risk assessment tool for firms, where owners can complete an online questionnaire to identify how they can reduce the risk of crime.
