Are You the UK's Young Visual Arts Entrepreneur 2009? British Council

The search is on to find the UK's Young Visual Arts Entrepreneur 2009. The award is for individuals aged 25-35 who are the future leaders of the visual arts sector. This competition is a great opportunity for up to six finalists to undertake a tour of the visual arts industry of India, an exciting emerging economy whose potential as a market cannot be underestimated. They will visit up to three cities meeting meet key players, gain an understanding of how business is done there and have the chance to extend international business networks.

Our panel of judges is chaired by Matthew Slotover and as the prestige and profile of being named the UK's Young Interactive Entrepreneur 2009 the winner receives £5,000 for a collaborative project with India.

Applicants must be within the following definition of visual arts: owners, curators, directors, managers and other professionals working in both commercial and public galleries auction houses and other forms of distribution or agency developers of visual arts publishing (magazines, books etc), communications or websites all within the visual arts sector.
