Sarah Kelly has been commissioned to write a book which will become one of the great ‘Design and Make’ series, published by AC & Black Publishers. Renowned jewellers including Kathie Murphy, Joanne Haywood, Lindsey Mann and Sarah Keay have all written successful books within this series.

 

Sarah is currently looking for passionate and contemporary jewellery designers who use paper as the key medium in their work, to be included in this new book. If this exciting opportunity for great exposure is of interest to you, please email the following details to:

Your name, email and website URL

A 2 sentence ‘artist’s statement’

2 sentences outlining why you use paper in your jewellery

3x images of your most recent work, provided in both lo-res (72dpi) and hi-res (300dpi) format

 

All images should:

be in one of .jpg, .tiff or RAW format only be orientated in landscape

have a plain background (black, white or grey)

feature a full product shot (no close-ups or crops)

be titled with the designer’s name and suffixed with _1, _2, _3 etc. (e.g. ‘Sarah Kelly_1’)

In the corresponding email, please state the following for each image:

title of piece, materials used, date made, photographers credit

 

In submitting your images via email, you are signing over the rights for potential use of the image in the book. If the images you send do not fulfil the specified brief, we regret they will not be considered for use in the book. 

 

Submissions made after 14th May 2010 will also not be considered.
