3D Maker or Engineer Required, Creative Partnerships - Sussex and Surrey

Uckfield College is seeking a creative practitioner to work on a new Creative Partnerships Enquiry Schools project in partnership with two teachers, a director of the creative team and a year 9 class (25 pupils). Our Enquiry question is: How can collaborative working and modern engineering technologies inspire student pride, joy and a sense of ownership?

The spring board for this enquiry is based upon work being undertaken by an extra curricular arts group and an electric car building club at Uckfield both of which work collaboratively to create high quality outcomes and promote a sense of ownership.

The successful candidate will bring confidence and inspiration, and is likely to be or have been working professionally as an engineer or a 3D maker with experience of resistant materials, with the following key skills:

• A passion for innovative 3D design • The ability to communicate effectively with 13-14 year olds and to work collaboratively as part of a creative team • A desire to encourage and inspire creative thinking • A practical understanding and experience of working with smart and modern materials (with limited budget)

• A good sense of humour and plenty of patience • The ability to think outside the box and take risks
